There is no way to make your period stop, after it has already started. If you don't want to use a tampon, go to your drugstore and pick up some Insteads.

There is no way to make your period stop by a certain day. You'll either need to get over your phobia of tampons, or remove your pad right before you go in the water and put it back as soon as you get out.
Note: water will NOT make you stop menstruating, which seems to be a popular myth here at answers.yahoo.com (so I'm sure someone is going to tell you this in answer to your question!). Cold water will make your muscles contract, which will SLOW the flow of blood while you're in the water. But it won't completely stop it!

Sometimes masturbating helps speed up the process because the muscle contractions can loosen up the stuff that's in there. But there's not really much more you can do.. just eat right and sleep well and hope for the best, I guess.

You really have little control over this.... cross your fingers, say a prayer if you're so inclined. Good luck.
