It is not just because America was discovered comparatively recently that it is called New World. It is a New arrival still in the process of coming out of the womb of time. The first migrants who came here were not just after eking out a better living they were out to deliver a better world. Almost anything new that emerges appears to have originated here. Some of it may be bad but then unless you presuppose a personal god who is his wisdom arranges things you cannot expect perfection The beautiful thing is that America does not fight shy of turning off to a new course. No hangovers. The speed of this constant flux is so high that it leavs the old world in a spin. That is what I like about America . We can easily compile a list of evil things that are coming up rank capitalism, crime, breaking up of families. But this is only due to perspective. When a delivery is taking place the mother earnestly fees that the world is coming to an end. Actually she is giving birth to a new lift with potenialities of being the New Saviour.

Well, it is easier to say what I don't like about America first. I do not like the fact that it has become so easy to live here, with so many basic freedoms, and in general ease of supporting yourself, that way to many American's take this country and the principles that she was founded upon.... for granted.

What I like best about America. Folks, this may take a while. For unlike some of the other respondants, I have traveled the world, and seen with my own eyes firsthand what life is like, not to be an American. I love Freedom, by that I mean that I am free to worship, or not whatever or whomever I choose. I have the freedom to protect my family and self, the freedom to work as I choose, where I choose and for as long as I choose. I have the freedom of the greatest capitalist society that this world has ever known. This freedom has been bought and paid for by my ancestors, and is still being paid for today by the men and women wearing the uniforms of the United States Military. So, to keep this short, I like best, the Freedom America has and represents to the people of the world. And I am one of those willing to protect that freedom, so that the liberal goats of the country that are unwilling to do so, may continue to enjoy their freedom to bash her here.

I like living in America because I feel I can be anything I want to be and know I have opportunities to find better things in life here.
to make myself a better person ..
I like least is All the fighting and hating amongst us all .
The greed and disrespect towards people here.
I know it is all over the world but America is supposed to be the land of the free the home of the brave, not the land of hate and greed..

Likes- America is the best place to live because I have probably more freedom here that anywhere else.

Dislikes-taxes, gas prices, low minimum wage rate. I hate the fact that the government is legal crooks and there is nothing we can do about it. And the sad part is that the same people that are complaining about what the people in office are doing, including the president and his homies, are the people who voted their a$$es into office and supported their campaigns. Dumbies!

I've never lived out of America, so my comment to this question is kinda bias. I would say that from people I know who have lived in other countries that our society is lacking. Our society in America basically views elders as a problem and disassociates them from the family, we don't respect older people. Our society is not family oriented and I think thats one of the things I like the least.

That is a good question because they are so many things that America is doing that I totally disagree with that I can't think of a true honest answer for what I like best.

If anything at all I would say the right to pursue what makes me happy in life.

I like that we have every luxury you could want, and even the poorest people are better off than some in other parts of the world...what I despise is our government...I think that this "democracy" we live under is a crock, we are not free, not really, and we have a crooked government

I love the liberties, and freedoms that I enjoy on a daily basis. I love my country, and everything it stands for. I love all who serve, served, and will continue to serve our country, for they too feel a sense of duty regardless of the political climate.
I dislike the contention that separates Americans, be it religious, political, ethnic, or otherwise.
We are Americans, and we owe it to each other to love, assist, and respect one another.

I like that I have opportunities to make my living doing whatever I want.

I don't like when morons spout off about how much they don't like this country. Go live somewhere else.....I'll buy you a one way ticket.
