but NOT fat! and she's a little tall for her age so most boys she likes are shorter than her which is fine but a little weird! But if a guy breaks up w/ her she get's so desperate and goes for the guys she can do so much better than! this one guy has been leading her on for about 5 months and wont ask her out. i try to tell her he's not worth waiting for but she is so desperate she would rather waste her life waiting than having fun! please help what should i do to get her mind off boys (@ least til she's14) lol

Why is anyone trying to get a boyfriend at 12 years old? She's just a baby. Just keep asking her to hang out with you. You may not be able to get her mind off of boys completely, but you can distract her a bit by hangin' out and doing fun stuff. All you can do is try. You are being a good friend.

To me it sounds like your friend has a low self esteem. She is constantly wanting a guy to make her feel better about herself, but when she gets dumped by a guy, this actually only makes her feel even worse about herself. Is there a counsellor at your school that you/she could talk to. I really believe that she may have issues that run deeper than you realise.
