What do you guys think about the price of the PS3?

It's going to cost $600.00 so, do you think it's really worth or not? Give reasons:

Technically speaking it is "worth it," as the hardware in the thing is much more than your paying for. However, you have to ask yourself "Do I really need a Blu-Ray drive?" and "Do I need a HDMI out even though I probably don't have a HDTV?" Also the cell processor is quite good, but that doesnt meen that it is needed.Also Sony is trying to justify the price by saying that it is a computer, and that the PC is dead. If the PC is dead, why are they still selling PCs?

Yes it's worth it. The fact that you get a Blue Ray DVD player with HDMI for such a low pricetag alone is worth it. The fact that it plays video games too is just like icing on the cake.

i think the price of the ps3 is gonna be one of the major factors thats gonna kill it slowly. the fact that the xbox 360 is already out and at a much lower price is another factor. microsoft has proved with the xbox that they can compete with the big boys. but it seems sony is in some bad ways lately. some major problems. wich makes me wanna lean towards waiting for the wii to come out.

Its worth it, but it is a little bit too much money. I'll just wait until the price drops. For now it the Wii for Mii.

yea bout the blu ray stuff and i.e if ur playing a flyiing game lean the controlor forward and the nose goes down just like a real joystick
