The US won't call a military draft. Currently, only men are registered.

There's no danger of a draft in the U.S. any time soon. The generals won't allow it. With draftees, you start to have problems with discontentment, and officers start 'accidentally' getting shot in the back, as in Vietnam.
The only time the U.S. military would accept draftees is a situation when the country is under attack directly, and the current all-volunteer force is not sufficient for some reason. I suppose earlier wars like WWII were different, and you had more motivated draftees because everyone thought the fate of the free world was at stake.
A draft probably would involve boys and girls. They start with the 19 year olds and move out from there. It's a question of whether the girls would be put in combat roles, but these days, there's no such thing as a front line to hide behind. Most people in a combat theater will be exposed to some danger.
If your girls are concerned about going off to war, they could start collecting evidence to support their case for being a conscientious objector. Note that you can't opt out of a war because you don't support the political motivation for it. Being afraid isn't an excuse, either. You have to be opposed to war in general. As support for a C.O. claim, they should start writing letters to newspapers, e-mailing your congressman or the president, attending rallies, etc., which are opposed to all war (or at least multiple different wars).
We need those voices to be heard anyhow, to balance out our democracy. For myself, I don't particularly like the wars we are in at the moment. I think they were a bad idea, but I do believe there is such a thing as a justifiable war. As such, if I were drafted, I would serve, whether or not I agree with that particular war. Whether they would want me is up to them to decide; there are a few reason why I might not be considered a good soldier. (I think too much, for example.)
Another option is to be prepared to request a non-combat role if you are drafted. If they are going to seminary, they could become chaplains. If they are studying to become doctors or nurses, they could join the medical corps. There's also engineering corps, mechanics, you name it.

maximum human beings could liken a draft to a opposite lottery. you're chosen to serve. whilst there replace right into a draft, sure you have been obligated to fulfill those words or face civil outcomes. The final draft that occured replace into purely for adult men, as on the time purely adult men fought in forward gadgets of the army and marines. in case your a woman you're actually not required to sign up. men are obligated to sign up interior the selctive provider, that's in user-friendly terms a touch paper that we could the goernment understand which you're of age. The likelyhood of yet another draft ever occuring is slender in need of the outbreak of a conflict on the importance or bigger than WWII. If I have been you i does no longer concern too plenty concerning to the challenge.

They should be drafted. It's only fair. Why should men be dying while women are sitting on their asses knitting?

I don't believe it would be that stupid yet. But you have your feminist leaders to blame. Have you ever disagreed with feminism?
