i don't know you or your pop, but i saw a tat in a magazine not long ago. it was actually for this guys son, but I don't know why it wouldn't work for just about anyone.
it was in between his shoulder blades. Simple angel wing with his son's name in between underneath it said something like "Always Remembered, Always Loved" Then I think his birthday and the day he passed on.
If this doesn't get you going in the right direction, try searching for tattoos online. I'm sure there are plenty of people boasting about their new tats!
