I think the only reason we worry is because we love you and want to protect you. Alot of people tend to forget what it was like when they were a teen also. But alot of people also had really BAD memories of sex during their teenage years! Sure its nice if u wait for marriage and the right person to have sex. BUT if you are going to do it your going to do it! No matter how close u r watched! I have a 15 year old son and I told him many times- Id love it if u waited for marriage- but if the time ever comes when you simply have to do it- and cannot wait- take 3 seconds to use a condom. Alot of teens forget protection and that leads to lots of unwanted babies! There are some responsible teens and if you are going to be careful and use protection- well your gonna do it no matter what so please do it safely!!!!

because our culture fosters the idea that sex is something bad and children should remain pure and un-tainted. When the US was first created the age of consent was 12.
in other countries it still is lower than anywhere in the US now.
If parents and teachers would come to their senses and support decent sexual education in schools, then we wouldn't have such a problem with STD's and teen pregnancy.
there are currently 34 states where the age of consent is 16.

Teenagers are not ADULTS. Sex if for adults who have a good education, money, house and other things to support a child. Teenagers need to go to school and learn things not be laying up with each other. If teens would stop having sex then there would not be any teen pregnancies since you all do not know how to raise kids because you are just kids yourselves. You teens think you know everything but you do not. You have not lived life and in such a hurry to do grown folk things.

theres nothing wrong with having sex as a teen strap it up, and you should have no problems, or if your sexual active go on birth control.
i think waiting fore marriage is bull s h i t. what happens if you meet a great guy and you know hes the one but he had sex before with a few women? are you not going to marry him because hes not a virgin? why wait chances are your soul mate didn't , sex is an experience and its a fact that most virgins don't stay together , because after the first you want to see what else is out there

Well I dont believe you should wait till marriage yes i am 45 and said that what i am concerned about is unwanted pregencys and diseases and child abuse how can you take care of another person when you have so much living to do if sex is something you want to share you need to plan cause when you sleep with that person you are sleeping with every other partner they have had and second if you become preg. your life stops for 18 years are you ready for that

Because you have sex and then someone gets pregnant and then you won't take responsibility for it. A good majority of the time they have to drop out of school, so we have a bunch of uneducated people running around, they have to get on welfare, so the tax payers end up footing the bill, or they end up putting the responsibility on their parents. That's why we tell you to wait. Most teenagers want to act like adults but they don't take adult responsibility.

Why take a chance on ruining the rest of your teen years on getting someone pregnant? B/cause the boy will have to pay child support once he gets a job, until the child is l8.........
And the girl that gets pregnant had really taken a toll on her young, and still maturing body. Lets face it. You will just become another teenage/ statistic on teen pregnancy.
Why can't your generation be the wise one to think about abstinance... Have fun in your teens.......Don't ruin it for yourselves and your parents...............For every ACTION there is a REACTION.At your young ages, everything you do affects your whole family and friends.just think before you act.Good Luck

Because they are wise and know whats best. And besides just babies, you can easily get STD's much easier as you are more young. Is that 5 minutes of pleasure worth your whole life? Would you trade in your life for just those happy 5 minutes? And its best to wait until marriage so you dont really have a chance of passing on any STD's to innocent people. And teens arent too well at taking care of themselves (note the sex and drugs in society) so they arent to well off with a soul in their hands to take care of. Of course I dont believe in absinence, but perhaps it is best to wait for some.

Well Stuart if you believe in God you should not have sex til marriage & if you have a different relgion, look it up to see what your relgion says about sex before marriage. It is in the bibel & if you believe in GOd you shoudl try to follow what the bibel says, but if you don't have any religous preference, parenthoo, STD's, who knows what else. I think that was a dumb question in the first place.

Sex can usually lead to pregnancy. Most teens don't seem to want to deal with children, since their wild and carefree days are over. However, if you feel that you are ready for the responsibility of possible parenthood, then be my guest.
