we all just want ,want pleasure and fun and money and all everything in between. we feel sad if we can not have this .destroy the world in what way ,i mean in another 50 years or so we will have oil in our blood,eating soilent green ,man,as for the animals and plants well,if you have faith god will make it all right again as for shure its gone by the big 50...best thing to do is not worry about it as high blood pressure can kill you,just as easily as a hassan missle loaded with ball bearings.

Because humans can be quite selfish, it's a do for me not do for you kinda world. Unfortunately our world is on the brink of world war 3, and we will be lucky if the world is not completely destroyed.

Seriously though, I think it's because people are so "progressive" in thought. They see the world in visions of technology. They think that with all the new innovations that they are actually improving human life. But they don't give enough thought to cause and effect. Everything has a cost. It's up to us to determine if the benifit outweighs the cost.

Anyway it's called evolution, as the so called stronger species fights for domination and then succumbs to a fatal blow on the species Achilles. For us it's fossil fuels, when that goes we go, unless we can get around the intrusive aspect of wind farms, solar power etc. Then we may stay a bit longer!!

Think of the human race as biped cockroaches. Or maybe think of us as a cancer. Cockroaches are the cleanest insect in the world. Unfortunately, they clean themselves all over our stuff. Sound familiar? A cancer starts slow and begins to spread, then it's host dies.

Because humans are notorious for being short-sighted. They don't understand that what we do today affects every tomorrow. So screw the world, and let our grandkids worry about it later.

Because eventually aliens will come to enslave us, and rather than have a nice clean place for our new overlords to live, we are gonna make it as miserable as possible and maybe get them to leave us alone.
