First of all I do recognize the line between obscene and sexual is subject and blurry. Nevertheless, I would like to know everyone's opinions. There are other places to ask similar "questions" such as messenger and chat rooms. Do you think perhaps they should just add a category for such questions? What are you thoughts and ideas?

No I do not! I thought this forum was kind of cool at one time, then it got to be horrendous. I mean with the types of questions you mention here. There was one user, (Kentucky Male), who claimed to be just having fun with his pedophile questions. He got so out of hand that the "YA Team" took the unprecedented action of tracking him down and giving the information to the local police in his area. I was happy to see that happen! There are just too many people playing games on a forum that is supposed to be a fun way of exchanging information amd ideas with people from all cultures and backgrounds. Now it seems to be a playground for weirdos and kids. I think the whole point thing has brought a bunch of kids into it as a game.

I think it says a lot on maturity levels.
Some people are actually curious about sexual things and that I think is appropriate. But I do agree that it should be in an age appropriate category.
But there are some people who think it's funny to try to shock the rest of us with how crude they sound. I think those individuals are rather sad. The feel the need to make themselves sound so "wordly" when actually they probably are huge dorks with "odepius complexes".

Yes, in terms of what the rules label as obscene. There have been a couple of legitimate questions I have read, but since they involved murder or sex, they were deleted. This rule seems to based on what might "embarrass" somebody. Knowledge knows no limits, only the human mind can impose those.

Considering this forum is open to people of all ages. I don't think these types of subjects should be here. However, there are way too many punks and pervs that enjoy asking obscene questions. Just report them and move on.

I do not think such questions should be on this site because there are so many children on here. Us older ones are a minority around here.

Of course they are appropiate, its yahoo answers, a place where you ask questions. I don't remember reading anything saying I can't ask certain questions. As far as the kids go and them reading some of these questions with adult content, all I have to say is where are the parents? Why should anyone have to re-word or not ask their question at all so as to try and prevent a kid with a halfassed parent from seeing that question.

If the question is put in to the correct category you should be able to ask what ever you like. Politics and Government is not the place for it.

Obscene, no - sexual, yes. We should be open about talking about sex (to some degree). However, maturity implies not posting a question that is clearly obscene.

I think this isn't the type of site for those questions simply because there are a lot of kids on this site. Some of these questions are just plain dumb and the people who would ask them are probably just looking for attention.
