When you get your belly button pierced...does it hurt and how bad????

I got my belly button pierced five years ago and it didn't hurt hardly at all. It just feels like you're getting a shot. And the reason why it doesn't hurt that bad is because the belly button is just skin. But if you get a muscle (like your tongue) pierced, it hurts like hell!

It's different for everyone. Mine didn't hurt that badly but ended up getting really infected when I caught it on my horses saddle during a dismount and nearly ripped it out. My friend's all had them, one said she barely felt it while the other cried. I would say my tongue hurt more and it was way less painful then my tattoos. It goes really fast so it's quick but it will take time to heal. You have to take really good care of it. Research the places to get it done, are they clean do you know people who have gone there and did they like the place. I went to a really disreputable place and mine got really infected even before the horse incident. Good luck!

Oh, God, it's more of a shock to the system than pain. I almost passed out from the shear shock of the needle(it was big!) and had to spend 15mins half laying(half sitting)on some steps while a mate popped to get me a drink. But it's worth it.

oh i think it would because my friend did it and she criend and hurted so much but finally its all gone and she loved her belly button lol!

yesss, hurts but worth it i think, pain lasts maybe 3-4 days, gets better

My daughter said no. But you really do have to take care of it because that's a place where it can get infected really fast.
