I was thinking Sango from Inuyasha or the Major (dont know her name) from Ghost in the Shell... any others?

Kaede-baa-chan from Inuyasha. And here's why:
1. She has to administer to the whole village and surrounding area in times of sickness
2. When Kagome isn't there, she has a huffy hayou to put up with
3. Also a whiney kit (Shippo) to put up with.
4. Also to pull Sango away from tearing off Miroku's head after groping her.
Every mother and Grandmother deserve to be called the toughtest yet lovable woman ever. Cause itf you think about it, what does your parents or grandparents have to go through?

It would have to be a tie, with Sergent Major Melissa Mao from Full Metal Panic, and Kaname Chidori also from Full Metal Panic, if you watch it, you will see. Mao's handbook for training rookies... is the worst thing in the world, you must haul a huge log and run for miles and have little to no food and be insulted every second, also she is a kick *** AS pilot and has no mercy. While Kaname, well she is the crazyest person, if you watch her attack Sousuke its amazing, she punches, Kickes, Knees, Elbows, him into the air, ground, wall, ect. Many people call her a demon, when they watch her kick Sousuke's *** for blowing things up.

Ryoko, the space pirate, from Tenchi. Major Motoko Kunasagi is from Ghost in the Shell. Both are kick ***, though the Major is much sterner.
Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop is also tough but frequently gets into trouble.

It has too be Lena Inverse from Slayers ...she joined withthe lord of Nightmares too defeat Hellmaster Rizzo and she destoryed the Red Oriest in the first episodes ..soo she is reallllllly powerful.
