It is a process that takes the actual photo and transfers it to a special paper. The photo can then be heat transferred to a piece of material using a large iron just like the ones you see in the tourist shops at the beach in Florida. You can have the photo put on the paper at almost any office supply store that does copies. They usually have the paper.

They are digital transfers. Get em at Staples. Don't use a hand iron like the instructions say, you'll be disappointed. Find a screen printer with a heat press to put them on, do the screen printer and yourself a favor and buy the shirt from them. A wal-mart tee has a finish on them that may or may not work properly with the transfer. I know that because I had a screen printing business for 14 years and people would bring them to me and the wal-mart junk was very inconsistent. Most of them wouldn't allow the transfer to peel cleanly. My own tees ALWAYS peeled nicely, unless the heat press wasn't hot enough. Good luck. These are really fun projects.

they make transfer paper you can get it at walmart. you print a picture on it then it transfers to a shirt. its by the office stuff at walmart...like paper and ink cartridges
