Ideally, building on last years 'Make Poverty History' drive and & the commitments they made. Hopefully also looking at climate change and global peace (always a nice thought).

However, I think that the talks will be dominated by whats going on in Isreal & Lebannon.

WE the people will never know what is discussed they are closed door meetings... they should be in the open and live cameras should be there to air that=just like the drama of O.J. Simpson... well in america it was a big thing but in the rest of the world it didnt matter!. so why not televise what the hell is going on in closed doors instead of repeating the 7am news all day? Bloody News channels.

The greatest danger to world peace at this time is the situation in the Middle East. The leaders should take steps to return Israel's kidnapped soldiers, so that the hostilities will stop.

How to stop politics and governments getting so caught up in themselves that it results in the deaths of innocent people. (but leaders at G8 are are as bad if not worse fir ths)

Exactly what they are discussing. The middle east. There was also discussion on Putin's actions to revert back to the KGB friendly days of the past. Central control, state controlled media, etc..etc...And people here in the US complain........it can get oh so much worse.

Ending poverty, disease and hunger. They should look to having the World Bank and IMF stop forcing laissez-faire capitalism on poor nations, increasing poverty and wrecking havoc with their struggling economies.
