if you MUST use IE...Tools>internet options > fonts (button at the bottom).

IE had to undergo a lot of fixes because it was not built at first as an internet browser, but a file brower iirc. They SAY most of the code is fixed, but almost anything is better than IE. Granted, a few websites were built exclusively tailored to IE, so they don't work properly with any other web browser.

Click on Tools < Internet Options

Then under the "General" tab, look at the bottom of the pop-up and you will find a button that says "Fonts" click on it and edit according to your choice.
