All pleasure is not a temporary condition.
The memory will retain the pleasure you've had.
So now is the time to create your pleasurable moments,
and they will always put a smile on your face.
You can even laugh at your mistakes. If it was a
fumble, or something you did or said in the wrong place at the right time.

Maybe because by definition pleasure has to be temporary. You see pleasure is a change in state, and since change is intrinsic to the very idea of pleasure, then it must be fleeting by nature.

Because of habituation. For someone to whom the world is entirely fresh and new, just the fact of existing and perceiving is pleasurable, and seems well-nigh miraculous. But after a few hours, you start to get used to it. After a few days, it seems fairly normal. And after a few years, you're not even thinking about perceiving and existing, but about getting laid or getting a promotion or eating an ice-cream sundae – fresh sources of pleasure that you require because you're inured to the old ones.

I invite you to look around. Nothing is permanent! See what other things do and how they do it and then see which one has the most similarity's to pleasure. Then you may have a better idea of if or what you can do about it.

Because there is still MUCH WORK to be done first.
Don't despair, pleasure will be all we ever know one day.
