Take a look at what is going on in many African countries and you'd see that the plague you are wishing is already here, and for quite a while at that. There's a reason that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation focuses a majority of its multi-billion dollar endowment on eradicating infectious diseases in the third world.

Probably not because of the aftermath, but their are to many people in the world, and far more with horrible diseases, poverty, AIDS etc. So we actually sorta already have a massive plague that kills thousands, but unfortunately no one takes it seriously
