That is, assuming he's not known as the Son of God, yet.

I don't judge people because I don't want to be judged!

Actually, if you think about some of the things he did like destroying a synagogue then you would have to label him as a terrorist or at the very least a mob leader. He incited people to riot, denounced the current government and created a cult following. Sounds like a pretty bad boy to me.
And before the Christians get all up in arms about this, you asked how he would be labeled in today's society. He would be locked up, either in an insane asylum for saying he was the son of god or in a jail for any number of things he did. A lot of people who preach good things, but take matters into their own hands are dealt with this way. Oh wait, so was he, according to the bible!!!!

He probably would have been the loner kid. He wasn't described as being athletic or strong, so he's not a jock. He didn't sound like he'd stick to school 100% becuase he liked educating others, not being educated, so he's not a nerd. I wouldn't call him a preppie either because he doesn't sound like he was well off and had tons of free time.
He'd probably be a loner because he'd be off trying to help people, but he'd be outcast from his peers because he would be 'different'.

A hippy Jesus Freak

A Hippie. Long hair, beard, sandals, preaching peace and love, more than like vegetarians, not to mention he had what Kris Kristofferson called "a bunch of far-out funky friends." Sounds like a bunch of 1960's types coming in off the commune.

I'd label Him brother. Brother Retro Hippie Cat! Tell it to us again my friend, this time record it so there isn't any of these interpretations. Then we'll know what the message really is. Then we'll be able to make up our minds for ourselves. Kind of what Jesus wanted the first time around I think.

maybe a hippie? Not in a bad way either. Maybe Jesus would be a hippi that does not do drugs? He had that whole peace is the answer thing going on and in today's world (though still outdated) a hippie is the closest thing to that.
