How can u tell when someone of the same sex is hitting on u?

I have this friend...She acts a bit weird from time to time but i can't really tell!Maybe i've just misunderstood her that's why i need help!

You usually can just tell. They will lean in to hear your conversation, and try to make physical contact with you, by stroking your hair, or touching your hand or something. They will act really interested in what you have to say, maybe buys you a drink at a bar? Gay people hit on people just like straight people do. Some are more forward and just ask for what they want, and others are more shy because they fear rejection. If this girl is really your friend and you value her as a friend, maybe she IS hitting on you, but she's afraid of your reaction..if that's the case, she needs to know from you, as her friend, that she can trust you enough to open up to you and tell you how she feels. Make the environment warm and inviting for her, and the time will come when she will let you know, if that IS her true intentions.
