Because the devil takes many forms. Because the weak and uneducated are easily manipulated. Because money talks. Because promises are made with no follow thru. Because the religious right doesn't think about the fact that their Jesus was a liberal and would not bomb anyone. How can you be conservative and not feel like a hypocrit? That's a rhetorical question, of course. Anyway, people also voted for Bush because that's what their parents did and their parents and their parents. There is an epidemic in this country of people that do not think for themselves. I appreciate your question.

My boyfriend's sisters went to Mexico a few months ago and every person not from the U.S they met mentioned Bush with confusion and astonishment. Not just Mexicans, but the French, Brits, etc....The girls were amazed at the questions, and it speaks volumes in my opinion. If the rest of the world is worried things don't look so good for those of us here.

P.S. Here's hoping Bush doesn't come blowing things up where you are next. Also, I didn't vote for him. I'm one of the sane ones!

Its called DEMOCRACY, What do you mean,"in the UK we just don't get it?" Who is we? You speak for yourself, you cannot include others from the UK, besides who are you to say that? In the UK, the country voted in Tony Blair, and his sleazy Government, so how can you comment on America?? Look in your own backyard first!!!!
From a Brit!!!
Glad to see you Americans fighting back!! Us Brits are NOT all the same!!

You don't get it thats why we left. You will never will get it. Your high taxes and bad accent is only a few reasons why we had to roll on you.

If you wake a British person up in the middle of the night they will talk like an American. Get rid of the phoney accent and pay attention.

G.W. is a person we needed. Kerry would have given into the rest of the world. We needed somebody with a strong character.

Why did you vote for Blair? Him and G.W. are great friends. I like Blair I think he is a good leader.

That is a question I've asked myself many times. As you are probaly aware, the US was split for his first election. I still feel the election was robbed from Al Gore...but history will be the judge of that dreadful day. Before I go any further, he does have a friend in England with the initials T.B......Cheers Mate! 2 more years of Bush and hopefully peace in the world....

It was easy, I just walked into the booth and selected George W Bush under the president section.

by the way, did you see our other canidate? do you really honestly believe John Kerry could have done better? Seriously, he's still trying to decide whether or not he really wanted to run for president.

Since you're a Brit you won't get it - generally. But since you asked, we wound up with Gee Dubbwa the same way you wound up with Tony Blair. Nuff said? Don't see where you have much cause to cast aspersions. Last time I looked, the Brits were right there in Iraq with us. No one held a gun to their heads to be there.

If he were to run today he would only get 34% of the vote which is his die hard base and would vote for him no mater what. Most Americans have figured out they were duped during his last campaign and now realize he is a moron, with a bad vocabulary.

this "Democracy" is all but. With the choice of Kerry and Bush what could we do? We were screwed either way. At least Bush likes to push weak people around. We seem to enjoy that.
