Make sure your pillow case is clean.
The main thing to avoid is getting dirt and bacteria in your new piercing, and a dirty pillow case will do that.
If it doesn't hurt to lie on your side, then its ok, just don't put abnormal pressure on your earlobes.Be gentle and treat your ears with care.
If it hurts then you shouldn't do it, give it another day or two and it should be ok.
I don't suggest taping down, putting foam, cream or putting anything around your ears while you sleep because this can trap dirt, sweat and bacteria in your newly forming fistula. ( skin tube). This can cause infection. Just let your ears heal on their own.
If it helps, you can tie your hair back so that hair doesn't get wrapped around your jewelry. This also can cause infections, and if hair gets into the fistula, it can be painful to remove.

Good luck, and be careful.

It will hurt and the piercing may heal incorrectly...
I never take out my earrings - It can get uncomfortable.
Did you get it down the old fashion way like at a store? - If so That's the worst: the earrings never seem to heal right. The stud is too big and the medicine they give you doesn't work!
I have my entire ears pierced, did it myself with hollow needles purchased from supplier!
That's the best way - it removes the skin, rather than pushing it apart! Which may cause you to get a keloid (can't spell it, but it mean scare tissue).

Of course! As long as you clean your earrings in the morning, after showers(soap build up), and before bed, along with twisting the earrings regularly to make sure the skin doesn't form on the earring, sleeping on it will be fine. It might be uncomfortable at first, but you'll get used to it. If you have sensitive ears it might sting a little, but the pain won't last long, it will be brief, if at all.

I don't think there is a problem .. I got my ears pierced plenty of times ( ^^') .. It hurts a bit but it's bearable ..
At first you'll avoid laying on your ears, but as you fall asleep you don't feel the pain .. :)
Best wishes

Yes it's ok to lay on your ears. It might be a little uncomfortable at first though, but there's nothing wrong with it.

Of course. If it hurts, though, then put tape or something over your ears to cushion them.
