I cannot find any website that gives out genres of songs - not even wikipedia gives the right genre (it can just go with the main genre of the artist)

The genre stuff is just a frontier of one's heart (...or if you prefer - soul)... Enjoy the music! That's the genre I do prefer and I hope the rest of the world.... :))

Genre is a matter of definition and opinion. I would say that REM is all pop-rock.

"losing my religion" is classed as brilliant, and the others are also very cool. Other than that, doesn't everyone just class them as rock, because it's leccy guitar bass drums and vox? what else could they be? Lyrical rock? intellectual pop? nope, i'm lost.
