Not too bad, there is usually one good snowstorm a year but snow doesn't last more than a couple of days. The cold wind is the worst part.

The winter season in Wichita is best described as varied. Some days it is a dry, cold day. Sometimes it's just a wet, cold day. When snow comes, it could be a light sprinkling or it could be heavy (up to 6 inches or more). Far more frightening are ice storms which are actually just rainstorms in freezing temperatures.

They get some snow, and it gets cold there. But nothing like the northern states, like N. Dakota. I wouldnt call it mild tho, either.
