We Americans have become very good at the blame game. Why can we not see our responsibility in the circustances that surround us? This makes no difference wether it's financial or political or social circumstances. Why?????

To answer some of you, yes I am an American, born and raised. I am a working stiff like most of you. I barely make it from month to month, if I miss two days of work I'm broke. The problem is people seem to say not me, its the other guy! Take a good look, we are the other guy.

Cause we don't like the guilt it causes us ,regardless of whos at fault but another way to look at it is, why do we always blame ourselves or others?why can't we just except that no ones perfect and we all make mistakes?Stop blaming others and don't take all the blame yourself.

Responsibility leads to accountability and that's an American No-NO. The 1st amendment is a joke. If you truly have these "rights", then capitalism is an illusional front for Anarchy. The writing's on the wall... soon, we won't have to worry about taking responsibility for our actions because responsibility is a by-product of freedom. It's when you have no responsibilities that you will notice that you have no freedom. WAKE UP or sleep forever!

Hey, buddy, don't include me in the "We Americans" part. I'm responsible and so are most people. I'm just a member of the prolatariet, the working class, I don't run the government, do you? And the last election I got to chose between two people with the same elitist background. Corporate government runs this country, money talks, period. I guess they've succeeded in pulling the wool over your eyes.

While we have a court system that allows us to sue the rich (people, corporation) it is only rational to sue as much as possible. If there were consequences to losing it would be different, but, hey . . . In the meantime, if I can get a grant or a project built that benefits me at someone else's expense (tax dollars), why not? If I don't someone else sure will.

That's a good question, and it doesn't have an answer. People just can not agree on one right thing to do. Everyone has their own opinions and ideas all around the world.

Because we have been given every freedom possible. Look at our examples. When was the last time ANY of our government officials took responsibility for mistakes they have made?
