Honestly, if they let themselves admit it, anyone could get turned on by watching ANY attractive couple make out. It's a sort of "sex-craze" reflex that's programmed into the genes. The idea of women not being turned on by something is more of a socially-bred concept that women adhere to for social reasons. On the flip side, guys are socially expected to be sex-obsessed, and so their obsession with lesbians is accepted as part of their sex-craziness, and thus out in the open. The only possibly real difference is that women would be more likely to be turned off if it was a purely sexual situation lacking emotions, while guys really don't see the importance of the emotional side when they're seeing sex. This isn't to say that guys don't care about women's emotions - they just don't always look for emotions and sex in the same place, while most females have a hard time understanding the appeal of sex without emotions.

This is one of the great wonders of the modern world, if you ask me. I have a theory, but, alas, it is unscientific. I think that men (and these are heterosexual men) believe that same sex liaisons are demeaning and they enjoy seeing women demean themselves. Perhaps it has to do with women demonstrating unbridled lust, something to which men seem far more susceptible by the preponderance of testosterone. In any case, from the menI have talked to, it has to do with some sense of power over them in some strange way.
I have asked a great number of men about this and they cannot explain it very well, except that in some sense it exploits the women's vulnerability. In almost every case, however, (and this is the part that seems to make no sense at all)
the men watching envision themselves having sex with both the women at the same time. Of course, it MIGHT make sense if the women were bisexual, but it makes no sense if the women are self-confirmed lesbians.
By the way, all men are not excited by this: it just seems like it.
I look forward to some of the answers you get from this.

Because women are nicer to look at; and men are more visual? Women are usually more sensual by nature, so maybe it is because there is more going go...and when you think about what same sex involves with men...well, it just isn't the same...and I know for me...It doesn't do a thing for me! A lot of men view two women as a real bonus...and twice the fun.

Because it is every man's dream to have a woman who has the same interests as them. Including women making out. And because most women are more "socially" conscious and opinionated, and may consciously regard women couples as unacceptable. However, it may be because most women actually subconsciously portray the act as innocent and normal, only to convey their opinion as "socially", "morally", or "sinfully" wrong.

men are visual and selfish. they can look like homer on the simpsons, but you are supposed to look like a model 24/7. and women know that anal sex is not a feeling we like ( expecially )compared to gay men. they love the feeling.
