A drunk is a person who drinks day or night, whenever.
An alcoholic is a person who drinks but goes to meetings.
We know what a non-drinker is.
A social drinker is a person who drinks when at parties or festivities where alcohol is offered but not at other times.
A lush is a person who never buys the alcohol, always mooches off of others and drinks it all.

I am neither of your definitions. I pride myself on self indulgence and wreckless behavior (when I don't drive). But when driving, I'll make sure to take less than $10.00 with me (so I stop drinking). My consumption of the drink is for me to know and you to guess. Bartender, I'll have another.

I'm a non-drinker who has an alcoholic mother, most of my friends are social drinkers, and don't call me a party pooper. I've saved more than one life by being the DD.

I was a non drinker until I was 22, then I got devorced and was on the verge of being a hardcore alcoholic. Because I had a baby to raise on my own, I snapped out of it, and now that he is 6, I tend to be a social drinker once or twice a month when he stays with his grandmother.

I am a non-drinker and I am proud because I know a lot all the other type of drinkers. I'm like the only person at my school who does not drink and I really don't care because that makes me feel awesome. i don't feel left out either because i look at it this way, i may miss out on drinking but I won't miss out on college or safe driving!

I'm a non-drinker and usually the designated driver which means I get asked to go along to a lot of outings with people who do drink.

You forgot one. There are people who buy like one bottle of wine a week and have a few glasses per week. What do you call that? A light drinker? I'm not afraid to have a glass by myself..I don't need to be in a social setting.
