Well once I stayed at a Inn, in Ithaca, New York. Right in front of the inn there is a grave yard(quite near, it was only a small road between the inn and the graveyard.Only 6 steps and you were in the grave yard. ). Nothing bad really happened(thank God) except, that the water faucets in the bathroom kept turning on at night by themselves. It happened two or three times. Once I woke up In the early morning to find the water running.(This is an old inn, there is not an automatic anything). And the room was ice cold always and it was summer. I don't want to stay near a graveyard again. That's for sure.

I have. As a young kid I took a dare and did, indeed, sleep out in a grave yard. Not just any old grave yard, either. THIS grave yard belonged to the local mental institution, and there were some very strange people buried in there.
Sorry. No ghosts.
At present, I live in a small town in Alabama, and you can see the grave yard of the small church up the road.
Once again, no ghosts.
Sorry if this disappoints you....

No I haven't slept in one but here in Sydney there is an enormous old cemetary called Rookwood and I used to live just around the corner from it. I always found it to be a peaceful place and would sometimes go for picnics there with my boyfriend just to read the really old headstones and wal through the musoleums. I want to be buried there myself one day

As a kid growing up in an inner city always there was someone creepy watching you and your lady if you were outside ...graveyards were the only place we could truly be alone. A fairyland with manicured lawns, beautiful marble sculptures or heart-stones embedded with the wit and prose of loved ones and ..... we were always very respectful, cleaning up any mess left by our candles and always we offering sage and tobacco to honor the spirits.
I have at times slept in them waiting with my lady fair to greet the warm morning sun. Of course once we became adults with jobs and credit cards it became simpler to just rent a suite but I have never once regretted dancing naked in the moonlight at midnight with my lover in man's most sublime landscapes. Nor do I believe any of those spirits resented or minded our youthful frolics.

I had to walk through one alone to get to school every day until I was about 12/13 years old. It definitely builds up nerves of steel and a wild imagination!!!! I think it shaped my somewhat admiration or interest in scenic graveyards. You see a lot of history there if you walk through them and take in the quotes and dates. I havent been in one, outside of attending funerals of family or friends, in many years. But I do notice them when I'm driving.

When I was little (8/10 years old), every Summer I went to my grandmother's house that was near one.
I went there just for fun (read the headstones and check out the flower beds) and lived to tell it.
Fear of the dead is only in your mind.
Fear the living instead!
They are the ones that can hurt you.

I lived in an apartment complex that was immediately next to a cemetery, and we're pretty sure it was actually built OVER part of it. Nothing really happened, it was just disrespectful to build an apartment directly next to or on a grave site.

I live across from one right now.... it is about 200 to 300 yards from my back door.... we used to play around there when I was younger and go swimming in a little pond on the other side of the cemetery... that was until... that horrible incident when Davey was gruesomely torn limb from limb by a deranged axe murderer...
I will never forget his horrendous screams for the rest of my life... the poor little bugger....

I live 1/2 block from a graveyard, and there is nothing wrong with doing so at all. It is a respectable plot of land where our friends and family can hopefully rest in peace.
And it is hardly disrespectful to live near one!
