When I bought my new little house the backyard is fully landscaped with little rocks in the side yard (area of about 12 x 6 feet ?? im really not good with estimating measurments). Anyway, I have called around to all the businesses and they won't do it unless they can get a bobcat in here... well that's not possible with the homeowner's association. We have tried shoveling up the rocks, but we don't have a truck right now. Any suggestions? We need to plant grass for my puppies!!!

1.) bend over and pick one up.

2.) carry it to your property line.

3.) Chuck it in your neighbors back yard.

4.) Repeat as needed.

5.) When your all done, ask your neighbor what he is planning to do with that ugly pile of rocks, because it could lower your property value.

We removed rock from our side and back yards. The side yard is about 6 feet by 50 feet and the back is about 40 feet by 3 feet. We were charged $700 by adult "handy persons" in the neighborhood. This included dumping them. They did not remove about 1-1/2" of it throughout and none in the back yard; so we took a small hoe or our gloved hands, put the rocks in double, medium-sized plastic bags and put them out in a large neighborhood garbage bin. At certain times, the regular garbage truck will pick them up double-bagged...you would have to call your city. When you fill the double bags, only fill them as full as you can carry/drag to their destination, ie, mine were about 1/4 full. This is the most economical way, but takes time. It is not an easy task.

sell them-- the new owner has to collect and remove them-- which is why you are selling them cheap! Put an ad in the newspaper-- -- the local freebie papers-- there is probably some other home owner that needs rocks for their own landscaping. I would make the ad attractive-- i.e. For sale-- landscape stone--stream rounded == by== inches-- estimate 500 pounds-- would be good for a dry brook (for run off) or to put around your koi pond.--
you get the idea.
Since I don't really know what you have-- I can't do better than that. I do wish you good luck.

I think I would try to hire a few of the neighborhood kids. Offer them $3.00 an hour (with parents permission) Serve them lunch.
Have them start at 10 AM........After lunch if they are still working, then offer ice -cream dessert when they are done...Just a thought
