It is because Baltimore is a diffrent televsion market than Washington. That is why they have a diffrent Fox, NBC, CBS and ABC.

The balckout rule has nothing to do with it. Last time I check, the Redskins have been sold out since 1966.

it's the dumbest rule the national football league established in 1973. basically the policy states that games that are not sold out 72 hours prior to kickoff will be not be televised in the home city. and since washington dc and baltimore are considered to be in the same metropolitan area, u have the redskins blacked out.

because the Redskins do not sell out there games early enough.........
so the home fans who can't go to the games have to suffer........

it's blacked out, because it's too close to home. They want people to go to the game.
