I would invest in the US stock market. I'd give 10% to the church, 10% to charity, disperse 20% to family and friends, save 10% in a secure savings, and invest the remaining 50%. A million pounds is enough to live off of if you know how to invest it.
I'll be starting an investment blog on my Yahoo 360 which goes over how I've been investing creditor's money to make a living. I'm a blue collar guy, so I'll be blogging with blue collar terms. Keep a look out if you're interested.

I would put it in the bank and live off the intrest. it wont be enough to quit over, but it would be enough to give a lot to charity and still live a decent life.

i'd be ravenous for great cuisine and i'd spend much time gorging on the great pleasures of food. oh happy days!
