Does glass just become another kind of rock when there are thousands or millions of tons of pressure, or is it like charcoal, where I've heard it can become diamonds, or something else with special properties?

Glass is silica (SiO2) based. So in the situation you described, it will turn into quartz the best. Diamond is made of carbon.
