Birth control will cause your periods to become lighter and shorter--it's normal.

I'm 98% sure it's an affect of the new pills. They're going to screw around with your body a bit for the first couple of months. You may want to talk to your doctor about these side effects, and possibly take a pregnancy test as a precaution. Believe it or not, you can still get some bleeding the first month of being pregnant, so it's always a good idea to get a test just incase.

Sounds like you are not on the correct birth control. You should not have cramping or bleeding. Please report this to your doctor so you can be examined for possible damage and be placed on the correct birth control and dosage. Do NOT wait to do this, you could end up barren.

definitely sounds like your BC...it'll mess up your period for awhile and make you really sick once you start. I had the same problem.
