I was shocked to see how many teens were vividly discussing sex on this website. Does Yahoo not do anything to filter what goes on? No pervert answers, I'd like real comments~thanks!

Why do people always want someone else (the government, the schools, the police, in this case Yahoo Answers) to control teen behavior? Teens are going to talk about this stuff, either online or in school or on the street. If it's out in the open somewhat, at least parents can get an idea of the real subjects they should be talking to their kids about.

Kind of makes you wonder what this world is turning out to be....LOL ROB Hang in there it may get better..

i was just floored to see questions like 11-13 year olds asked on here. Honestly, I would just die if I saw my 11 year old on here asking such insane questions to complete strangers who may not answer them correctly or answer them period knowing how Young they are........yes it is totally insane. I am used to all the questions now. I have been on here for a while now. I am just never used to the questions like: "COULD I BE PREGNANT?" I mean lets face it........they should be talking to their parent (s). Not us on here. OR talking with a doctor. Not everyone on here are doctors or experts. So yes Ihave a problem with these questions too believe me. I know yahoo does NOTHING about this however what can they really do? Ya know? It is a real question so they can which is sad. I just wonder if these parents really know what their kids are doing on this site, asking on this site. It is truely sad. No wonder our children in the world are being prayed on ya know? Hope my view helped some at least. Take care and God bless !

OMG I saw some one one here that was 10 years old talking about her breast I was like what in the heck this will be my issue in a few years my kid going on the net and I am like what do I do a key logger, watch over their shoulder...

But I think sense the young people have family accounts there question should go to the parents primary yahoo family account for approval

If enough people go to http://messages.next.yahoo.com/next/forumview?bn=SEA-YahooAnswers and post on this subject I know yahoo answers staff is there they answered my question there before

If enough people ask then something just might get done

It does bother me to some degree, I mean when I was their age sex was the last thing on my mind. I knew about it my mother sat me down at a early age and explained everything to me how it all worked and all the precautions that comes with it.

That is what more the likely put me off sex because as a teenager I didn't want to be saddled down with a baby or any of the responsibility's that came with having sex.

I dont think they do...a lot of kids here ask question just to see what kind of attention they are going to get. But understand that its not Yahoo's responsibility to filter everything...That is where the parents are suppose to step in. And unfortunately the parents of these kids dont know what they are doing. Half of these kids just want to see what kind of responses they are going to get....its kind of like when you were 12 and had a crush on a older boy and everytime you saw him..the giggling that you experienced.....kind of the same thing with them

I think a lot of the problem is due to the fact that most teens are uncomfortable talking to their parents about sex. Honestly, if these parents let their children get on the internet, shouldn't they be monitoring what their children do?

I've noticed it also. I'm a teen also and this is totally disgusting. Teens shouldn't be talking about that. But, I suppose if nobody tells that to the teens, they won't know better. Have you put a post there??? If not it will just continue.

They do filter what goes on and people can report abuse. They don't have age restrictions on the page though. So any teenager can just go on and post something about sex.

I mean if they aren't hearing about it in school from their friends, or out there learning it for themselves, they are here talking about it.

Don't be such a prude. Unfortunately, this is the only place where a lot of kids will get information about sex. Leave them alone. Have you talked to your child about sex? If not, you're the problem - not them. Start picking out baby names.
