It sound like you need to know that answer for yourself than your mate. Do you think it's about getting your rocks off only? No. You can masturbate and do that (which is healthy too). You have to keep in mind that for your mate, having sex is deep experience (to a degree for some). If it's just a one night stand, it's YOU you have to create an environment where it's relaxing and secure.
Don't be selfish. Sahre the experience.

That depends on the woman , how comfortable with herself , with your and your technique , her mood and how well she can communicate what she like if she knows herself .
