How do i know what size baseball bat to buy for my son?

i need to know how to buy the correct size bat....how long...barrell size...weight and drop....anyone please help!!!!!

he is 8 years old....and plays kid pitch 1....if that helps any

It should come up to his waist. I don't know about the weight. Also, check the rules in his league for what it can be made out of.
