Sure it is. A film doesn't have to be old to be classic. Just really really good.

It's a classic to us old people who were able to see it in 1998, but 8 years isn't long enough to be considered as such. John Hughes films have more of a classic element.

not sure but I love that movie,,,just bought it a few weeks ago for my collection..it's one of the best movies I have seen and will be a classic at some point.

it should be because it puts it into perspective how racially divided a community can be along with how much hatred is in the world

I totally agree with you. Norton jr. and Furlong were fantastic! That is one of my all time favorites.
