Ugh. You guys are morons. The term supergroup was coined to describe music groups comprising members who had already achieved fame or respect in other groups or as individual artists.
My favorite is Probot. Dave Grohl teams up with many Heavy Metal legends, and guitarist Kim Thayil from Soundgarden, who is legendary in his own right.

It was Damn Yankees : Jack Blades (Night Ranger), Tommy Shaw (Styx), Ted Nugent and drummer Michael Cartellone....... then the Traveling Wilburys: George Harrison (Beatles),Jeff Lynne(ELO), Roy Orbison,Tom Petty (Heart Breakers), and Bob Dylan ...... these are true super groups.....
