I have tried:
1) Going to tools Internet Options, typing in home page to use, went to a home page and clicked on use this for my home page.
2) Scanned for virus, adware, spyware, nothing seems to help.
3) Reloaded windows XP. Still have pblm.

What's left?

Your home page may be hijacked. Go to tools, options and type in your desired home page like this : http://www.yahoo.com
Apply and Save,
If it keeps doing it AFTER you reinstall you may have a trojan, worm or virus and your browser is hijacked so you will need to either delete your current IE and reinstall OR switch to a safer browser. Firefox is secure and cool since you can use themes and add all kinds of cool things to it like Thunderbird email

Try this and hope it works!

go to the page you want as your homepage, then go to tools (tab at top) then internet options, then click on use current page...that is the only way I know how to set it..

p.s. post what you have tried so we can narrow it down...that is if this does not work

I have Yahoo as my home page. Recently, when I click on the home page icon it takes me to MSN. When I repeat the click on the icon it takes me to Yahoo. Is Microsoft controlling my computer in the same way it loaded and started installing Windows 10 without my permission?
