Pull your eyelid taut then apply the eyeliner as close as you can to your lash line. Try Physicians Formula MicroKohl Definer Ultra-Slim Automatic Eyeliner Pencil or the new Flat Liner they should help out well. Take your time and make sure you have adequate lighting. You should get the eyeliner pencils with the brush at the opposite end. Just apply the eyeliner to your lid as close to your eyelashes as you can get, and blend with the brush. It doesn't have to be perfect, cause it'll look right after you blend with the brush. It allows a lot of room for error!
By the way, I never use black. I use brown or dark grey, because if you do mess it up it's not as hard to get off. Good luck, and just practice!

Sally Hanson makes a powdered eyeliner...it's in a silver tube and it works great...it leaves no lil white lines between the lashes and liner! Sometimes the powder gets onto my face so I wait to put on foundation and remove it after I fix up my eyes.

try holding your top eyelid up and putting the eyeliner right alongg the eyelashes. thats what i used to do and it works.

lean your hand on your cheek and just go for it, it really isn't that hard and pencil mistakes can be easily corrected
