I have a maytag washer that just stopped. I started it up and it filled with water........then stopped. I emptied the darn thing out and played around with it but nothing. I've checked the fuse boxes 2x now. It's a built in and don't know how to check if the plug fell out or not. I have no noise or lights working at all. Any ideas?

How would I know if the breaker is bad? Everything else is working fine in my kitchen. Would the dishwasher be on it's own breaker?

well I don't know if you have fuses or breakers but if it is a breaker then you may have a bad breaker. I find it kind of weird that there are no lights because even if it were something mechanical the lights on the buttons should still be working. If your washer is built in on the top under the counter there will be two screws. Undo the screws and it should pull right out then you can check to make sure a mouse or something didn't chew threw the wires or look under your sink cause it may be plugged in there and might have gotten bumped.

If there are normally lights on, but they do not light... would definitely be a power problem... wall switch or a switch under inside bottom cabinet....usually if there is a bank of switches on the wall, one of them will shut power off to dishwasher when flipped.... try flipping the breaker off and back on.... if you do not know which one, look for one or feel for one that is kinda different or spongy if you press it toward on position (which is where it should be).. other wise you may have to turn them all off.

Usually there is a switch somewhere by the sink that you turn on, did you check that out, the way they are built in it is hard for the plug to fall out.

hmmm,( if hardwired) just pull the bottom kick plate off the washer, look for a silver metal box, 2"x3" or so, remove the front screw, u will see 2 white wires and 2 black.........very carefully remove the 2 wire nuts and meter the wires.......if no reading then ur not getting voltage to the unit........
if voltage is reading then something wrong with unit......

Some wall outlets have a reset switch. Maybe that's what's going on, the switch needs to be pushed.
