like when i was in college i was talking to a boy and for a second i werent looking at him, when i looked at him he was all staring at me , i got a little scared to be honest, but he didnt say nothing like oh your pretty , guys just look but dont tell i want some one to say it too me i mean i would feel personally feel great , i saw that same boy and i cant believe it, i was trying to ignore him and i saw him and he saw me and he went right up to me and asked how i was and still didnt say that i was pretty what i think is in his head because i can tell from his eyes so why dont guys just say what they like looking at

by the sounds of it you think alot of your self and maybe too much from a mans point of view cos most guys see that as being stuck up and they hate it. they wont tell you your pretty cos they woulnt want you to be even more sure of yourself then you already are.
maybe you could try and change the "im beautiful" attitude for a while and maybe then they will see you in a better way and then be able to express the way they see you better so rather than just staring at you they will tell you what they think of you aswell. the last thing most men would be wanting to do is make your head even bigger especialy when they want to be the ones that come across amazing to you and every girl.
it works for me anyway but i on the other hand hate men telling me that!

Because we are SCARED OF YOU. That is the reason. We believe we cannot meet whatever your expectations might be. We feel like Ben Stiller at the start of There's Something About Mary. We think you're going to hook up with a superstar with bulging biceps, a six pack, nobel prizes in philosophy and physics, and unbeatable dress sense. We just don't want that kind of humiliation. But you're difficult to ignore. So all we can do is look.
Be aware of that and do what you can to put guys at ease. It will be worthwhile.

People don't say it to you because you expect it too much. And besides that, the first thing a person says to you is not going to be,"Hi, you're pretty!" I mean, how awkward is that?! Why don't you get to know people first, give them a chance to get to know you?
Maybe to these people things other than looks count, although in your case I certainly hope that you speak more eloquently than you write! Or, reality check, maybe people just don't think you're as pretty as you think you are. Get over it. Develop some social skills, get on with your life because, I hate to tell you but, pretty or not, looks only last so long.

You sound pretty young,of course he was looking at you girl!Guys only have one thing on their tiny minds,and that does not include how you look above your neck!When the right guy comes along you will know because he WILL tell you that you are pretty.

Because guys don't think that deep. It's hard to find a guy that is sensitive to a girls feelings. Just because a guys doesn't say your pretty doesn't mean he doesn't think you are, he is just to shallow to actually tell you. Guys can be so dumb!

I am an extremely handsome guy and I have the same problem only in reverse; girls never come up to me and say, "My God but you're a handsome guy" even though I know that's what they're thinking.

some guys are shy and dont say exactly what there thinking,just in case you get the odd girl thinking he ,s making a move on her.
so they say nothing in fear of reprisals.anyway you say your beautiful aren,t you being vain?

you are obviously a very pretty girl, and some guys find such beauty intimidating, which in turn is hard for them to say what they think and inturn how they feel when it comes down to asking you out also x barry

one reason could be that he probably thinks you are too pretty to be interested in him and that he probably wont say your pretty to your face in case you laugh at him.
another reason is that he doesn't think you are pretty, and was staring at you in disbelief at how ugly you are to him. and that he spoke to you because he felt sorry for you.
Or you could go up to him and tell him how pretty you are and why hasn't he told you that you are pretty, this could lead to an interesting scenario for the two of you
