Forget the ovulation predictor kits. They are *not* that accurate. If you want to know if you are ovulating, the only way to know for sure is to chart your fertility signs. For information, please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It will give you the best chance of getting pregnant.

The strips can get really expensiv that is why I bought the saliva test, you can use it every day as many times a day as you wish, it is also very affordable. If your cycles are not normal you might be ovulating longer than 30 days at a time so you might want to give the Fertile Focus a try. Get the preseed lubricant it does not kill sperm like other lubricants and saliva do. But most importantly you have to get to know when you are ovulating. Good luck.

You need to make an appt with your gyn for a pre-conception visit anyway to get vitamins and get a physical so let them know you've tried the opks and you never saw a pos. Just because you never got a pos. doesn't mean you aren't ovulating--they just don't work for some people. Try charting your basal body temps-it's more accurate and will give you more info. Here's a good website

ok the ovulation predictor tests arent working? you need to go to a fertility doctor. You may also want to look for books on natural birth control or natural family planning. this is a very good method for getting pregnant or not getting pregnant. There are several websites taht tell you how to do it. You might want to do this first before going to a fertility doctor they are very expensive, and not covered by alot of insurance companies. I would go in with my partner for an evaluation from a fertility doctor first before embarking on their treatments though, they can see what the problem is and may be able to correct it, it may not even be you, he may have low sperm count. You can also look at your local library or bookstore on books about getting pregnant or infertility issues. Its also best not to stress your selves out over this, being tense and stressed out can have detrimental effects on your body and his! Good luck to you, I hope you can become a mommy!

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

first of all how old are you?
please over 18 years!
STOP TRYING, if you stop trying and forget that you are wanting to get pregnant.
me and my are in our early twenties and have a 16 month old girl!
we wanted a baby and tried and tried and tried.
but nothing happened so we finally decided to stop trying and you know what 3 1/2 months later I was late and we went to the doctor and I was almost 3 months pregnant.
We were shocked because we had stopped and actually forgot we wanted a baby and there was one on the way.
so good luck and GOD bless you and your future baby!
CONGRATULATIONS, in advance!!! :)

Have sex every day, 3 times a day, vary the times so you hit every hour of the day. do that for a month and it should work.
