have you read the book october sky? i just finished it yesterday and i was wondering it the movie was worth watching..

Great movie and true story!!! I leave close to the West Virginia town in the book and movie, and believe me it is tough getting out of a small town where everyone is socialized to work in the mines...Have a great day!!!

I haven't read the book but I thought the movie was great. I always think it's better to watch the movie first if you can, because you'll always like the book better--so even if it was a great movie, you may still be disappointed. If you watch the movie first, you can always read the book after to get all the details they have to leave out (due to movie running time)

I used to own it, and I must say that it is VERY much a movie worth watching, especially if you liked the book!

no I havent seen it. I have saw Vanilla sky w/ Tom Cruise and its a good movie.
