You should call and ask you ob before you do anything that would possible harm your baby, not rely on answers from strangers~no offense meant. It's just this is too important to not get a professional opinion. Good luck w/ the remainder of your pregnancy!

It is fine to go swimming as long as your water bag has not busted. Once the water bag has been breached you put both yourself and the baby at higher risk for infections and diseases. The bigger problem you will have being 33 weeks has to do with safety and not slipping and falling. That and manuevering your body in and out of water, and making sure that no one hits you when you are in the water itself.

One commenter said the right answer in my humble opinion.
Ask YOUR OB doctor and not doing that is not wise. Some women do keep swimming, but all public pools are not as clean as they should be.
Please, for you and your baby make a call first ;-)

It is safe as long as your water hasn't broken.
Are you sure you don't have any tears in your baby's sack?
You absolutely shouldn't go swimming once your water has broken (you're not even supposed to take a bath!) as there is serious risk of infection for your baby.
People who birth in water (pools or tubs) are not putting their babies at risk b/c they are already in active labor which is safe for mom and baby!!
Have fun at the pool and even more fun with the countdown to baby!!!

Why, in the whole of hell, would you want to do something like that?
You are 33 weeks along.
Use some common sense and wait until AFTER the baby is born!!!

I wouldn't... there too great a chance of infection from bacteria in ANY pool, much less a public pool. If you have to ask, you probably have doubts about the safety yourself and if you have doubts, don't do it.

well, I'm guessing it's okay in a pool thats not public. My cousin had her baby in a pool. so I'm betting it's okay to swim in one. But call your doctor first.

Babies are more likely to flip when you are swimming so if your baby is head down and you want to deliver vaginally skip the swim.
