I'm a beginner and interested in training for a January marathon. Any info on the two courses would be great!

Disney is known for being a very fun marathon. You get to run through all the theme parks, and finish in front of the giant ball at Epcot. It also makes a great excuse to go to Disney, and if you bring your family it gives them something to do, so you can make vacation out of it if you like.
If you do the half, you get a medal shaped like Donald Duck. If you do the full, you get a medal shaped like Mickey. And if you are crazy enough to do both (they are on separate days) you get a special Goofy medal.

This website has lots of reviews of marathons by people who ran in them, so you can get an idea of what to expect.

I haven't done the Disney World, but I did the full marathon in Arizona. It was a pretty flat, easy course. If you want truly beautiful scenery in a 1/2 marathon in January, I would recommend going to Carlsbad, CA. It was just gorgeous since you are running by the ocean.

I did the full marathon at Arizona and it was fantastic! Great bands! Great crowd support! All round good time.
