Some people argue that life is cruel. So if Eve took the apple off the tree in Eden, then maybe life is becuase God wants to punish us for our actions by giving us life, through which, He wants us to worship him for forgiveness.
However, in a scientific way, there is no meaning; it was through pure accident. The chances of intelligent life are astronomical, so there's no way that it could be planned. Look up Drake equation in Wikipedia, and you'll see that for intelligent life, the canches are extremely low, somewhere in the region of 0.0000008 (the number of civilisations in our galaxy that we maybe able to communicate with at any given time).

I have no idea what the meaning of life is philosophically speaking but while thinking about such issues watch Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. At least you will have a laugh!

Well , the point is that this life is God's gift to you , obey him , love ur parenst be good to yourself and others and help them in whatever way u can please them I mean ur parents and family and be useful , make the best use of it and being nice and pleasant is also an important part , eat right stay fit and pray.Enjoy !!!

the point is to "go into the world and preach the gospel" meaning go and tell people about jesus that he died for our sins and that he rose on the third day...the reason why this is the meaning of life is because jesus wants us to all go to heaven and remain with him...jesus wants everyone to go to heaven but no one wants to listen so teach those in the world and tell people about jesus. that way we can live a longer life in heaven with jesus...i hope you understand what i'm saying. but that doesn't mean you have to be boring...you gotta have fun and enjoy life too.

The point is what you do in between birth and death. When you do something good for another person or animal doesn't something stir inside you that lets you know "this is what life's all about"????

Objectivley, you're goal is to consume, produce offspring and ensure the survival of yourself and your kind. Subjectively, you give your life it's meaning.

i beleive its because here on earth we are physical being and can do all the things that wont be possible in the next life ,we can run jump,play shop, laugh ,eat, and make love ,with that comes the negative you just have to fight through it, keep yer head up girl.
