Your exhaust system is the biggest single item.(10 - 25hp) roller rockers (5 - 10Hp) K&N air filters and a good tune up for small gains and quick fixes. The next step is your fuel - stronger injectors or a holley. The last thing would be a cam change. After that you looking at a major rebuild. Dont expect miricals its a stock motor , you won't do a wheelie by adding a cam and a holley.

First, remove any restriction going to intake. Straight to the intake via ram air duct. Advance timing to around 12 or 13 degrees. Performance exhaust headers. If it is carberated.....put on an Edelbrock 4bbl intake and carb (the cars are Webers even though they are sold by Edelbrock...Weber is the very best). Good luck.

one thing that you can do is andvance your timing. h-pipe is another thing that's inexpensive but adds power. also, this wont give you more power, but your car will move a lot quicker if you put 3:73 rear end gears in it...it shouldn't cost you more than 250 or so to have it done, or you can order the gears and do it your self...i'm assuming you've got a mustang.
