Are there really a lot of gay guys in Patan? (Northwest area of Pakistan)??? That's what my dad said...?

We're in the US but my dad said that was the case because of the extremely backward culture there, exteme 'purdah' etc. of women there... There's a self-described "hardcore Patan" guy at my work.... I'm pretty sure he's gay....

I think I misspelled it - it's probably 'Pathan'
