Hell with attacking Syria and Iran. Let's drop a bomb on Israel.

Stop for a second, and read the news carefully. Have you heard the score? Some missiles come in and kill a handful of Israeli soldiers, so you know what the Israelis do? That's right... They engage in an air raid, killing over a hundred people, MOSTLY CIVILIANS. For killing a half-dozen or so soldiers... They killed at least a hundred civilians. Anybody else see a problem with that? Israel must think their soldiers to be more valuable than these people's common folk, roughly 1 to 10 in value. Must be some damn fine soldiers.

Seriously, hell no. Raise your hand if you know one of the driving factors in our ongoing (Not most recent, mind you) presence and conflict in the Middle-East. Israel is largely to blame. So I say just drop a mother****ing bomb on them. We would make friends with EVERYBODY in doing so. EVERYBODY. I can hear the Arabic nations all turning to each other and saying, in whatever language they speak, "Wow, y'know, maybe them US folk aren't such bad guys after all. Think they'll be our friends?"

No, it's not a terribly nice thing to say. I don't make it my business to be politically correct. I like *RESULTS*, and I guess I'm funny like that.

You could be right, America does that too. But maybe they will prove us wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Maybe they are trying to provoke those two countries into attack so that they can cry "WOLF!!" and act all innocent like they are doing at the moment.

Once again I wonder, where do some of you people get your info? Fox is so far right Hitler would be proud of it, CNN is almost as bad. Are you familiar with a little term called "propaganda" The US and Israel are really good at it.

LeoGirl...exactly how did Syria and Iran "start this crap"? What planet do you live on? And the other fella. advocating violence and praising "the Lord Jesus Christ" in the next sentence. Jesus is ashamed of you. He died rather than commit violence.

Know this, everybody hates America, even most of its allies. It is a bully and no one can stand up to it so many go along with it.

Because they are tied up already with Lebanon and Palestine. Attacking Iran and Syria makes it a 4-1 fight with the currently strong possibility that none of Israel's allies will step in to help her. On the other hand those Arab 4 have a good chance of bringing the entire Middle East in on their side, leaving things with the a dozen countries against one. Israel is smart enough to know better than to take on those odds voluntarily. If it has to take them, it will but it won't force the issue if it doesn't have to.

Iran has 3 strong weapons in its hands:

1- The oil.
2- The very strong relations between the people and the government in Iran, through the religious beliefs.
3- The Shi'ite majority in Iraq.
4- A strong army and military personnels.
4- Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Hezbollah is in Lebanon. Israel used to occupy southern Lebanon, but then when they pulled out, Lebanon said that they would police the area and...Hezbollah moved in. So, Lebanon is where their enemies are.

You can suggest whatever you want--I guess stupid questions have a right to be here, too. There are no "easy targets" in the Middle East. War isn't "easy"--aggression leads to more aggression, aggression leads to defense, defense leads to hostility, peaceful behavior is seen as weakness...the whole area is a big simmering pot of anger and frustration and the people fighting are the ones who happen to pop up at the top of the soup. It would be stupid to engage Iran and Syria in a war when they are not currently being aggressive toward Israel. Countries support each other all different ways--now, didn't the U.S. give weapons to Iraq to help them fight Iran? Now, we're fighting Iraq but Iran doesn't like us because we tried to kill them off back in the 80's. Iraq doesn't like us because we're killing them off right now. Dubai probably doesn't like the fact that we offered them a deal to run our ports but then reneged. Saudi Arabia didn't like us moving in while we were fighting Desert Storm and expecting them to support the war against Iraq. And we've always supported Israel, so there's yet another reason for various countries to hate them.

What exactly would be gained by Israel attacking 3 countries at once? You said they don't have the stomach. War is stupid and cruel and I'd love to think nobody in the world had the stomach for it. I don't know how these countries can stop fighting with each other--there are centuries of resentment behind the fighting. I know their anger is real, but I wish they could just give up the hostility for the sake of all the innocent people suffering because of the countries they live in. You seem to want them to get in some kind of cage match--why do you want to see them get in a major war? It's bad enough that they hate each other--you need to hold your hostility and stupidity in check and keep your thoughts of world domination on a Risk board. Ugh, I wish you'd let thoughts like this just evaporate from your head instead of posting them and thereby lending a little credence to them. Fortunately, there are some people like me who are smart enough to counteract you--now, people, listen to ME! Listen to people like me! Peace is the answer! Don't agree with this fool!

Syria is in Lebanon, and it's known that Iran is supplying the weapons and now its believed that 100 Iranians are there to support Hezbollah. Don't worry, I think this is going to calm down soon. Even the other Arab leaders are pissed off at Syria and Iran for starting this crap.

little doubt approximately it! it is no longer a be counted of 'if' yet 'whilst'. maximum probably challenge IMO would be Israel attacking Iranian Nuclear centers, in return Iran retaliating. it is at this point many circumstances emerge, some even fearing it could deliver approximately community or worse international conflict. there is likewise extensive stress on Bush, inner and exterior. Israel has needless to say pronounced Israel needs US to attack Iran. Opinion is cut up - at one component Cheney & Co advocating attack, on the different protection Secretary Gates taking a careful suggestions-set.

Much to my surprise, Israel has the 4th largest army in the
world. If something doesn't give, it's just a matter of time.
Especially since Israel also has alot of support from the west.

Prepare to pay $10. for a gallon of gas from all of this.
It's a shame, human beings killing each other & it seems
like the evil is spreading like a contagious disease.

shhhhh!, that's next, they are desperately trying to build support for just that.

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
