i just don't see zizou reacting the way he did (headbutt to materazzi's chest) if materazzi didn't say something racist or insulting to zidane's family. materazzi denies he said anything insulting, but i don't believe him.

I believe Materazzi did say something in disrespect, most high caliber players will not do what Zizou did because they have discipline. The guy had to same something pretty bad to get that head butt. The only problem was Materazzi should have gotten at least a yellow card.

Of course he didn't say anything racist! Everyone knows that soccer is a gentleman's sport...no kicking, tackling, tripping, acting, insulting, or trash talking ever goes on during a game! Heaven forbid.
Materazzi probably just inquired about the health of Zizou's mother and Zizou misunderstood him. Too bad, so sad, Italy ROCKS.

If you look at Z's past he has done that before. Talking trash has become part of competition in many sports, so if you can not focus on your goal to win, especially as a captain, then you deserve what you get no matter what is said. He basically showed his mental weakness.

i do, because in spite of zidane's bad temper he's actually not the kind of person who react to all things happening to him. i mean if something's not really serious or pushing then he'll just stay calm.
