You mean to quit?

Yes there is. Just tell them you don't want to be in the Marines and you are willing to go through whatever process they have to get you out.

Look up GIRIGHTS online or call them at (800) 394-9544

http://girights.objector.org/

No matter what anybody says you can get out without destroying your life. Just don't lie but be honest about not wanting to kill people or be killed or something along those lines.

Good Luck!

Not without ruining other prospects for the rest of your life.

Not fulfilling that obligation (you signed the papers, no one put a gun to your head) will follow you the rest of your days.

The reasons people get kicked out of boot camp are almost all bad. (insubordination, assault, malingering and a few other unmentionables) The only way it can happen without the stigma is if you suffer an injury so severe that you are considered disabled for life and unable to perform the duties of a Marine. (Quadraplegic might do it)

I guess this is why they call it The Few, The Proud.

No Semper Fi for fools who bail out.

Well, you already are gay for asking this. So tell them that. Why sign the contract if you're not going to live up to it. I see your life in the gutter coming up pretty fast!
